PM Wong launches PA Youth Charter for young people to organise impactful community projects

PM Lawrence Wong launched the PA Youth Charter at the Future of Youth event on 1 March at Ang Mo Kio City Plaza. The charter aims to inspire young people to act on community issues they care about. Beyond the charter’s key themes, job opportunities are a major concern for youth like Avinaash Maravarman, an SP Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering student and assistant secretary of the Canberra Youth Network. He has participated in beach clean-ups at Sembawang Park Beach and expressed concerns about the rapidly evolving job market. He emphasised the uncertainty young people face regarding the relevance of their education and skills in the future, given global competition and potential economic downturns. Projects from SP’s FabLab were also on display at the event.
