Police looking into alleged harassment of NUS intern by local tech firm director

29 Jul 2018

Article highlighted that the police are investigating a report against a director of a local technology firm accused of inappropriate conduct towards a female National University of Singapore (NUS) student. Tertiary institutions have protocols and processes in place to prepare students before their internships and for them to report any issues. For instance, TP students are trained on workplace etiquette and office behaviour at pre-internship briefings, and those at RP are briefed on professional expectations and conduct. Institutions including NYP and SP run checks on the companies and organisations before allowing students to intern with them. (The Straits Times, pA4)
