Article featured the food ordering mobile application and automated noodle cooking robot, Noodle 4.0, developed by six SP Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DEEE) students. The innovations were developed as part of the students’ final year project and their main objective is to solve the shortage of food vendors. The mobile application allows users to order and pay for food offered by the six food courts in SP. Users are also able to indicate special requests for their food. To complement the app, the students also developed a robot to automate the process of cooking the noodles. Currently, the students are trying to fine-tune their innovations and the mobile app will be available for download in six months time. (Lianhe Zaobao, p12)
