Potential of 5G network in Singapore

News clip featured the joint Singtel-Ericsson-SP 5G Garage and the potential of the 5G network in Singapore when it is launched. News clip also featured the pipe-climbing robot, SP Secure drone system and driverless car that were developed by SP students. SP’s School of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering senior lecturer, Foo Fang Siong, opined on how the new 5G network will improve the capabilities of the pipe-climbing robot. SP’s Deputy Director of the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Lim Joo Ghee, shared how 5G can be tapped on to speed up complicated calculations for projects like the driverless cars and other businesses. A Singtel spokesperson also shared how the organisation will be partnering SP to roll out relevant 5G modules to train students on the latest technology.
