Record 95 gets defence scholarships

This year, SP’s Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering graduate Chin Kang Jie is one of 95 recipients of the Defence Scholarship Awards. As a child, Kang Jie was interested in Engineering after watching his father repair and race radio-controlled cars. He would also tinker with his mountain bike to save money on repairs. In Secondary 2, Kang Jie transferred to another secondary school in order to take up additional mathematics as he wanted to pursue his passion for engineering in polytechnic.
