Reformed youth gains entry into Nanyang Technological University

Article featured SP’s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering graduate, Fong Shao Cong who has now gained entry into Nanyang Technological University (NTU) after submitting an appeal. Shao Cong was unsuccessful in his first application attempt to NTU, but after one round of appeal and interview, he was accepted into in its Mechanical Engineering programme. He shared that he was very nervous during interview but the interviewer encouraged him to share his passion and life story. An NTU spokesperson commented that grades are not the only indicator for admission, the school also looks at the applicant’s attitude and ability to adapt to a university environment.
