Sacrifice to care for sick sister, now an assistant engineer

Article featured SP graduand from the Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nadhirah Insyirah Abu Bakar, who found out in Year 2 that her older sister had Leukemia. She had to take on part-time jobs while studying, in order to ease her family’s finances. Despite her struggles, Nadhirah raised above her challenge and is currently working full-time as an Assistant Engineer at a company that provides installation and maintenance services of mechanical equipment. She was offered the position three months into her six-month internship programme there, as her supervisors were impressed with her performance.
