Sembcorp and Singapore Polytechnic develop solar energy recycling technology

Article featured the agreement between Sembcorp Industries and SP to develop solar panel recycling technology. This technology is the first of its kind in Singapore. The agreement will allow for the development of solar energy technologies and the training of manpower in the solar energy industry. Sembcorp will also provide course material for related SP diplomas as well as provide more internship opportunities for SP students. Head of Sembcorp Industries’ Singapore, South-east Asia and China (Energy) business, Koh Chiap Khiong, commented that this is an initiative to fully support Singapore’s solar energy industry and hopefully, help Singapore achieve the goal of generating 350 megawatts of solar power by 2020.
