Sembcorp turns up the heat on contractor skills

03 Jun 2019

As the solar industry heats up in Singapore, the skills of contractors may not have caught up. Sembcorp, one of the largest players in the industry, first noticed the problem when it took over development of a solar project last year. To tackle the challenge, Sembcorp started running free training sessions to build up talent and share best practices. Close to 200 solar professionals have been trained so far through four sessions, some of which were conducted with SP. Article also mentioned that Sembcorp also signed an agreement with SP in January to jointly develop internships, course curriculum at the polytechnic and continuing education programmes for managers, engineers and technicians working on solar projects.
