Mother fulfils diploma dream after 30 years – together with son

10 May 2019

Article featured 48-year-old Carol Hor, who recently graduated from SP’s diploma in business practice (business management). Carol had applied to SP when she was 17 years old, but did not do well enough to get accepted. Instead, she did a marketing diploma at a private institution before settling down and starting a family. With the support of her family, the mother-of-two finally fulfilled her dreams of studying at SP three decades later. She graduated a day after her younger son, Jarrod Chua, graduated from SP’s diploma in business innovation & design. Carol shared about her experience being her son’s school mate, and how it helped them develop a closer relationship. COMMS Note: This is part of our Graduation 2019 stories.
