Singapore Polytechnic and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) collaborates to explore more extended reality projects

Article featured the five-year Memorandum of Understanding signed between SP and RSAF to enable both parties to collaborate in innovative initiatives and projects using Extended Reality technologies. The agreement will provide RSAF with additional opportunities to develop and test new and upcoming technologies to meet operational and training needs, while creating real-world opportunities for SP staff and students. As part of the collaboration, RSAF will also provide SP students with internship opportunities to explore training enhancements for aircraft maintenance and aircraft recognition using these Extended Reality technologies. SP Deputy Principal (ACAD), Mr Lim Peng Hun commented that this agreement serves as a platform to prepare our students to be work and future ready. Chief of Air Force, Major-General Mervyn Tan commented that the agreement also allows RSAF to continually develop technologies to strengthen the force and prepare for the future.
