SP’s marketing and retail lecturer, Lucas Tok, opined how social media influencers are changing the game of traditional marketing. He added that they are more cost-effective than A-list celebrities and companies have less commitment when they engage them. However, Lucas also noted that utilising online personalities may not be as effective as traditional media marketing as the attention span on digital media advertisements is generally lesser.
