Talkative poly student finds joy in being a listener for the elderly

SP’s School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering student, Chen Li Yan, has transitioned from being known for his talkative nature to becoming a dedicated listener, particularly for the elderly. Influenced by his father's long-term involvement in community service, the student has developed a strong sense of the importance of giving back to the community. He actively participates in volunteer activities, including those organised by the Northwest Network, and engages with seniors by assisting them with technology and providing much-needed companionship.
