Tampines Secondary School’s anti-fraud animation wins grand prize in police social media TikTok competition

11 Nov 2024

Students from Tampines Secondary School created a TikTok video using role-play and animation to illustrate the dangers of phishing scams, showing how scammers trick people into sharing personal information, such as bank account details, through fake prize-winning messages. Their video has garnered over 300,000 views and 16,000 likes, winning first place in the second TikTok competition by the Clementi Police Division. At an event organised by the Clementi Police Division, the National Crime Prevention Council, SHINE Children and Youth Services and SP, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Social and Family Development, Ms Sun Xueling, presented the award to the team. SP contributed to the event by assisting in planning activities and exhibitions, emphasising youth empowerment in crime prevention, and encouraging community collaboration in fighting crime.
