The first automatic checkout supermarket that completes transactions in five minutes

News clip featured the world’s first integrated multi-sensory supermarket by honestbee, which offers a cashless checkout experience and robotic collection point. For purchases of 10 items or less, shoppers can use the ‘scan and go’ function on the honestbee app and pay for their items on the spot. For bigger purchases, consumers can drop off their shopping trolleys at the AutoCheckout point, and collect their packed items in just five minutes. Mr Amos Tan, SP’s Business School Senior Lecturer and Section Head of Marketing and Retail, opined that as these technologies are very new, it is best to introduce it slowly while ensuring that there are service staff on location to help and guide the consumers. This will then contribute to a more enjoyable experience.
