26 Oct 2022

Three new centres of innovation have been established in the growing sectors of built environment, beauty and personal care, and urban agriculture at the opening of the Singapore Week of Innovation and TeCHnology (SWITCH) 2022. The Centre of Innovation for Built Environment – Advanced Materials is a collaboration between SP, RP and TP, which focuses on uplifting local SMEs’ capabilities in advanced construction materials and chemical formulations. The Centre of Innovation for Beauty and Personal Care is located in SP to support the sector’s growth by strengthening product development efforts in areas such as clean beauty, green cosmetics and innovative product formulation. The Centre of Innovation for Urban Agriculture is a collaboration between RP and TP. The article also mentions a local SME, Organic7days, which have embarked on a project with SP’s FIRC to develop Asian tasting ready-to-eat baby foods, after identifying a market gap in this area.
