Thousands of polytechnic, SUSS students graduate amid pandemic

Article featured the various graduation ceremonies held by the polytechnics and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) over the past week. Article mentioned SP’s Diploma in Experience and Product Design graduate Scott Lee, who spent a large part of his internship developing a home-based learning table - adjustable cardboard furniture for children whose classes went online. Scott share that his polytechnic experience, which involved numerous presentations and critiques on his work, helped him deal with issues of anxiety that he has been coping with for several years. At SP’s ceremony, principal and chief executive officer Soh Wai Wah congratulated the 6,054 graduates and spoke of a commitment the polytechnic was making to them to be part of their education for life. Mr Soh mentioned that SP hopes to form a longer-term relationship with graduates by becoming their partner in lifelong learning.
