25 Jul 2019

As part of efforts to equip the workforce with skills needed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0, institutes of higher learning in Singapore will ramp up efforts to train people in emerging skills such as machine learning, entrepreneurship and data analytics. For instance, the National University of Singapore’s Institute of Systems Science will partner NP and TP to allow modules from the polytechnics' post-diploma programmes to be counted towards a Master of Technology. SP will also partner with German engineering firm Bosch Rexroth to train and certify specialists who meet German standards, in a new regional training centre which will be set up in Jurong Innovation District, Singapore's advanced manufacturing campus.
