Dr Edmund Lui, lecturer at SP’s School Of Chemical And Life Sciences, shared that different bacteria have different infectious doses and how bacteria can cause health issues is dependent on the host’s immune system and the part of the body where it is infecting. Dr Richard Khaw, deputy director of the School Of Chemical And Life Sciences at NYP, further noted that bacteria are able to grow rapidly and most of them are found on the skin, and in the mouths and nasal passages. Both Dr Lui and Dr Khaw also shared some tips on preventing the growth of bacteria.
