World Engineering Day 2025: Charles Rudd Distinguished Global Lectures

The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES), in collaboration with SP, hosted the World Engineering Day 2025: Charles Rudd Distinguished Global Lectures (WED 2025: CRDGL) on 11 February 2025 at the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre. As a lead-up to World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development on 4 March 2025, the event gathered global experts to discuss emerging technologies and engineering challenges. Themed “Towards a Sustainable World: Engineering the Way Forward,” the lectures focused on two key topics: Circular Economy and Resilient Future. The discussions emphasised the role of engineering in tackling global issues like climate change, urbanisation, and resource depletion, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
