‘Singaporean’ even before citizenship title was conferred

Lianhe Zaobao, 14 Aug 2017 - Article celebrating Singapore’s 52nd National Day interviewed three citizens who was recently conferred Singapore Citizenship. All three came to Singapore at an early age to pursue their education and shared that they felt ‘Singaporean’ even before receiving their citizenship. One of interviewees include SP graduate Yang Wei Wei who was born in Malaysia. His mother is Singaporean and his family moved to Singapore when he was four years old. Wei Wei and his wife set up their company ‘Suprenom’ in 2009 and shares that he sees Singapore as his home after being here for 30 years.
