4. All students are encouraged to participate in the Interbank Giro Scheme.

Donors-Sponsored Bursaries (Result out by end Jun)

Each year, hundreds of bursaries are given out through this scheme because of the generous donations of organizations and individuals. The values of the bursary awards are between $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year.
All Full-time diploma students who need financial assistance are strongly encouraged to apply for this category of financial assistance first. Check your eligibility here.
Selections are based on donors' criteria (which may include nationality, course, academic performance, financial circumstances, CCA, etc). Short-listed candidates may be contacted to attend interviews if required by the donor.

Important Notes:
1. For Singaporean students, once you put in the application for donors-sponsored bursaries, SP will also apply for either the Higher Education Community Bursary or the Higher Education Bursary depending on your family income.
2. Applicant can check the result of their application in Student Portal by end June.
3. Each bursary award is only valid for one academic year. Should you wish to be considered for bursary in the next academic year, you have to file a new bursary application.
4. Students should make arrangements to pay for their school fees for the first semester while waiting for their application for financial assistance to be approved.

Sivadas-HEB Education Fund (Closed)
Application Deadline: 11 May 2022
The Sivadas-HEB Education Fund invites Hindu students from low-income families pursuing tertiary education to apply for financial assistance to help them meet the cost of their education. Students can apply for either a Tuition Subsidy or an Education Grant.
Education Grant: One time award, up to $1500
Eligibility Criteria
- Singaporean or Singapore PR
- Hindus
- Full-time Diploma students
- Monthly per capital income (PCI) must not exceed $1900
- Not in receipt of any bursary
Application must be submitted online through Hindu Endowments Board website here.
Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview within 3 weeks of the closing date.
Yayasan Mendaki Awards (Closed)

2. Financial Assistance for Notebook PC

The one-time notebook subsidy is intended to help new students offset some of the cost of notebook purchase. 1st Year students who have bought a notebook PC in the year of enrolment may apply for this subsidy. PFP students may choose
to apply for this subsidy either in their PFP year or 1st year in their diploma course. The award is given on a reimbursement basis.

- PFP / Full-time students in their 1st Year of study
- Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI*) of $1,000 or below OR
Gross monthly household income (GHI^) of $4,000 or below - Not received this subsidy before
- Applied for a SP-Administered Bursary (Higher Education Community Bursary/ Higher Education Bursary) this academic year
PFP students who meet the above criteria but not the DFP Bursary are also eligible for the Notebook Subsidy, and can apply FROM 4 June 2022.

IMDA NEU PC Plus Programme
Application Period for AY2022
Refer to IMDA website for application form and details. For polytechnic students, download Form for Students.
Applicants who apply for this scheme need to mail their application form and all required supporting documents to the relevant Lead Agency (see details on Form for Students) on their own, after school endorsement at SP One Stop Centre.
Eligibility Criteria
- Singaporean / Singapore PR
- Full-time Diploma student or has a permanent disability
- Gross monthly household income must not exceed $3,400 or per capita income must not exceed $900 ($1,125 if there is a permanently disabled household member)
- Past recipient of a PC-bundle under the NEU PC Plus programme may reapply only after a lapse of 3 years from the last deployment to the household
Important
- Application to delivery could take up to 3 months
- Payment to be made to vendor directly upon delivery

Year 1 students who bought an IMDA funded notebook can apply for Notebook Subsidy if they are eligible (see information above).
IMDA Home Access Programme (Subsidised fibre broadband)
Home Access 3.0 from IMDA
The Home Access Programme provides eligible Singaporean families with 2 years of subsidised fibre broadband connectivity.
Eligibility Criteria
- With at least one family member staying at the same residential address who is a Singapore Citizen
- Stays in HDB flat
- Gross monthly household income must not exceed $1,900 or per capita income must not exceed $650
- Neither an existing Home Access beneficiary NOR an existing NEU PC Plus beneficiary with broadband connectivity

Full time students encountering acute financial hardship may apply for the SP Needy Fund.
Application Procedures:
- Download and complete the SP Needy Fund application form together with the documents required
- Make an appointment through e-Services / e-Resources for a phone interview with the officer in-charge
- Under the remarks, please indicate "SP Needy Fund application"
(Counselling & Mentoring > Request for Counselling > choose 'Financial' under category)
Upon receiving your request, the officer in-charge will contact you to confirm the appointment date and time.
