We are grateful for the opportunity to be enrolled in the Polytechnic Apprenticeship Program at J.P. Morgan, in partnership with Singapore Polytechnic, to prepare us to be life ready, work ready and world ready.
J.P. Morgan is one of the few investment banks in Singapore that have started such polytechnic recruitment initiatives. The one-year program was launched in April last year, and we are part of the second cohort consisting of 12 apprentices selected from 300 applicants.
The program provides first-hand exposure to the financial sector and is guided by experienced mentors who are also well-known industry experts. As a leading global financial services firm, J.P. Morgan has a modern, forward-thinking culture that promotes innovation, leadership and inclusion.
The atmosphere at the bank is welcoming and friendly, and we have been able to adapt quickly to the working environment despite being fresh polytechnic graduates. The staff are extremely helpful in guiding us in both work and personal development.
We are encouraged to attend networking sessions, as these are great opportunities for us to put our social and communication skills into practice. We believe that our experience at J.P. Morgan helped us built essential multi-disciplinary skills which truly help us in becoming better individuals.
