Southeast Asia(Sentosa)’s First 4Dimensional Theatre Marketing Plan Competition

Everyone is a winner at the SP Business School - Sentosa 4D Magix Marketing Plan Competition 2013. Three teams from DBA Marketing Management Option were selected to present their marketing plans on the 6th of February 2013 at Singapore Polytechnic MLT 8, 3pm to 6pm.

The Guest of Honour for the event was none other than the owner and Managing Director of Sentosa 4D Magix and Cineblast, Dato’ Yogesvaran T. Arianayagam. He was joined by the key personnel from the organisation. In addition, industry partners and guests from MediaPlus, Pirelli Asia, City Development Limited, IM Holdings and Chartered Institute Marketing Singapore also turned up to grace the event. Singapore Polytechnic Deputy Principal, Mr Hee Joh Liang, Director Corporate Communications, Ms Yvonne Chan, Director SP Business School, Mr Reginald Wee and Deputy Director, SP Business School, Ms Wong Mei Shan were also present to support the students.

Students were asked to present marketing plans to reach out to the residents market in singapore via new age marketing that includes most social media platform and blogs as well as internet advertisement. Dato’ Yogesvaran T. Arianayagam and the guests were all praise for the students’ proposals. They were impressed with our students’ competency and resourcefulness in coming out with so many creative and feasible marketing ideas and programmes given such a tight deadline.

A total of S$2,100 cash prizes sponsored by Sentosa 4D Magix and Cineblast were awarded to the various winners and best speakers. “The Jump Starters” clinched the champion spot, team “Boom Boomz Pow” and team “Branded” were awarded the 2nd place and 3rd place respectively. Two Best Speaker prizes and two Best Selling and Sales Management teams’ prizes were also given out during the event.

The students were thankful for the opportunity to work on the authentic project with a major company. “It brings me one step closer to this real world when I graduate a couple of months later” exclaimed one of the students.
