Team SP at 9th International CDIO Conference

The 9th International CDIO Conference was held in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA from 9 to 13 June 2013. It was hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. It was an once in a lifetime experience for me and truly an honour to be part of a team representing Singapore Polytechnic with our final year project.

When we stepped into the exhibition hall, we felt like we were on equal footing with students from various renowned universities around the world. We were overjoyed when many conference attendees expressed interest in our project and spent time at our booth to ask more questions even after our presentation. We were encouraged by the positive feedbacks received. This has ascertained us that our project was recognised and that all of our work for the past one and a half years had paid off. Visiting the booths by other universities exposed us to innovative ideas from various parts of the world and also the applicability of CDIO in different aspects.

It was truly memorable for all of us and we are very grateful to be given such an eye-opening experience. Last but not least, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our supervisor, Mr. Andrew Kon, for giving us the opportunity and guiding us throughout the entire final year project.
