Tanjong Pagar United Football Club’s Fanzone

A first in S. League history, fans got a chance to get up-close and personal with the players from Tanjong Pagar United Football Club (TPUFC) in the TPUFC Fan Zone held on 15 October 2014.

Players from TPUFC got to interact with fans and the public through a meet & greet session. The event had a great line up of food, entertainment, and prizes for the fans of TPUFC, followed by TPUFC’s final match of the season against Woodlands Wellington.

The students from the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management involved in the event created the event concept for TPUFC and carry out the preparation and execution of the event. They were also tasked with raising awareness of the TPUFC and the event as well as gathering volunteers to aid in the execution of the event.

The TPUFC Fan Zone saw a great success that day with an overwhelming attendance. The objective to help TPUFC gain greater public awareness as well as increasing their fan base was achieved. In addition, the event garnered much support from TPUFC and the Football Association of Singapore as well as positive feedback from members of the public.

Overall the students gained valuable experience, and are grateful to have been given the opportunity to work in conjunction with TPUFC to achieve their goals.
