Corporate Identity

Final-year Diploma in Media and Communication (DMC) students wowed judges when they showcased new logos and branding strategies for Maritime ONE. A joint initiative of Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF), Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), Maritime One was established in 2007 to raise awareness about the maritime industry and encourage youths to pursue professions in the maritime sector.

Social Media Security

Too lazy to change your password regularly? Who gets access to your personal information? Could your online habits be compromising your privacy? Working with the Centre for Social Media, our 102 second-year DMC students conducted face-to-face surveys with youths aged 15–35 to map their attitudes and behavioural patterns regarding online trust and security when using social networking tools.

Green March 2010

Thanks to 102 final-year Diploma in Media and Communication (DMC) students, a whole community of students, staff and Dover residents came together to plant trees, march, and show support for SP’s green movement in 2010. From concept to execution, the event pulled together everything the students had learnt in the DMC course — event management skills, planning and logistics and a keen awareness of using integrated communications, branding and corporate identity — to get the green message out.


Debuting in 2011 and organised by second-year DMC students, the event attracted more than 1,000 participants, including representatives from Google, Dow Jones and MediaCorp. From 2012, SPMCC will be run as part of The Agency module.


A campaign and event to promote giving back to society, GoMAD was conceptualised and run by final-year DMC students as their final-year project in 2011. The campaign generated more than 700 ideas, exhibited on GoMAD Day on an Idea Wall, from students across the campus explaining how they could make a difference in society.

Youth Day 2011

Working in collaboration with the Community Chest, our second-year DMC students produced video clips for Youth Day 2011, to encourage secondary-school students to donate to the less fortunate.
