Other Schooling Expenses

There is a wide range of bursaries and grants available for students to apply for to defray their living expenses.

1. BURSARIES

SP-Administered Bursaries/ Scholarships/ Grants

± MOE Bursary

Application Period: 13 November 2017 - 2 March 2018 (For AY2017/18 Sem 2)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singaporeans
  • Full-time Diploma
  • Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI*) of $2,250 and below or gross household income (GHI^) of $9,000 and below
  • Not in receipt of the CDC/CCC-Polytechnic Bursary in the same Academic Year

Application Procedures

The processing time from application submission to receiving the bursary takes up to 3 months.
Successful applicants will be notified via their iChat email account on their application status.

± MOE Bursary for PFP

Application Period: 13 November 2017 - 2 March 2018 (For AY2017/18 Sem 2)

  • PFP students
  • Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI*) of $625 and below or gross household income (GHI^)of $2,500 and below

Application Procedures

The processing time from application submission to receiving the bursary is usually up to 3 months.

External Bursaries

± South West Tertiary Grant

Application must be submitted to the nearest Community Club (CC) in the South West District from May 2017 - 31 March 2018.

Quantum: $500/ Academic Year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singapore citizen and resident of the South West District
  • Full-time student
  • Monthly household income of $3,000 or per capita income of $750 and below, whichever is lower; and
  • Deserving students who fall out of the eligibility criteria due to exceptional family circumstances (for example, those with family members who have high medical expenses), may be nominated, subject to CDC's approval for the Grant.

± Howe Yoon Chong PSA Scholarship

Application will open from 1 Dec 2017
Please be informed that only shortlisted applicants will be notified by email.

Quantum

  • Tuition and other compulsory fees
  • Living allowance
  • Book allowance

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singapore Citizens aged 25 and below
  • Monthly household per capita income (PCI*) of $750 and below
  • Good academic results (minimum B average)
  • Track record in CCA
  • Participation/Demostrated ability/Contributions in any of the following areas:
    - Community work
    - Innovation in science and technology
    - Leadership and entrepreneurial skills
