Project - Based Learning of Engineering & Business Skills

Through a CDIO-based curriculum that couples mutually supporting engineering and business modules in the various semesters, students will have ample opportunities to work in teams on practical projects that are aimed at addressing real-world issues.  Watch a video on one of the projects that DEB students have developed as a team for their second year mutually supporting engineering and business module.

Take your first step into the engineering world through internships with renowned and well-established companies. Learn the skills you’ll need to succeed in the industry at places such as:

  • Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Co Pte Ltd
  • United BMEC – multinational company which focuses on the distribution of specialised medical, rehabilitative and assistive technologies. It serves all the major medical centres and hospitals in Singapore

You also get opportunities to go for overseas industrial attachments to experience new cultures and learn from companies or universities at the overseas location.

Jovan Tan, Class of 2014, was promoted to Assistant Product Manager at Asus (Singapore) after a four month internship as a result of outstanding performance.

Chester Tan, awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Performance in Creativity and Innovation from Doxon Engineering Pte Ltd. He designed an automated assembly gadget that enhances productivity by reducing process time from 5 minutes to 25 seconds. “I'm really glad that to be able to go through the internship program as i am able to apply the knowledge learnt in some of the courses. And through that, also gain the experiences of the working life."

Overseas Immersion Programme in China

Parent’s Testimony on the immersion programme:

“During his final year in SP, he opted to go for a four months overseas immersion programme in Beijing Technology and Business University….……….As someone who travels to China regularly for business, I was impressed that that my son could engage me on business challenges in China after his stint in Beijing.
