Mr John Hardy Co-Founder, Green School Bali | Mr John Hardy
is one of the founders of Green School Bali, and is an artist and entrepreneur with a unique talent for having unconventional ideas
and making them a reality. A recognised voice in many conversations
surrounding sustainability, his belief in creating a unique strand of
education that grounds itself in environmental sustainability is evident in
Green School Bali, where every aspect is centred on raising a generation of
green citizens. Green School Bali is a non-profit, private and international
facility, which teaches the basics of education within a framework of environmentalism, across pre-kindergarten through high school.
Since 2008, Mr Hardy has steadily developed Green School Bali to its current strength at 420 full-time students. In 2012, the school was awarded the 2012 “Greenest School on Earth” award by the Center for Green Schools at the U.S Green Building Council. In 2021, Green School Bali launched the Young Green Leaders Award, which recognises and celebrates the efforts of young, green changemakers in Indonesia who are making a local difference for global change. |
