DNA Extraction for Pathogen Detection in Water using 3D Printed Platform

Synopsis

Water contamination by pathogens is a serious health concern. Assessment using conventional culture-based methods of faecal indicator bacteria (FIB) is expensive. In this project, a 3D-printing-based platform is developed to extract DNA from water for monitoring pathogen detection so as to fabricate a 3D-printing platform that integrates with syringe-filter DNA extraction for water samples.
