Coffee grounds become fuel? Innovative goods will be sold next year

Three student teams from SP clinched the Top 3 Finalists award and Most Innovative Award at the River Hongbao Hackathon (RHBHacks) 2022. They each won $7,000 in cash prizes, which can be used to develop their own products or services. They had submitted creative business ideas based on the theme of ‘Creativity in Sustainability’. Some of these ideas include turning blended coffee grounds into solid fuels and candles and using plastic bags to make student art workshop materials. The teams will sell their products next year at the River Hongbao 2022 festival held at Gardens by the Bay from 30 January to 6 February 2022.
