Local film maker, Alvin Lee used to be a bad student until he met his mentor

Article featured SP alumni, Alvin Lee, who shared how he was a defiant secondary school student who often skipped classes and got into fights. This continued until he was in Secondary Four, when he finally met his mentor, Ms Liang Meifen who never once gave up on him and gave him constant encouragement. This inspired him to change his behaviour and study hard in order not to let her down. For his hardwork, his ‘O’ Level examination results allowed him to enrol in SP. He even won a scholarship to study in the prestigious Beijing Film Academy. (Shin Min Daily News, p7)
