CIEU Tripartite HR Dialogue and Networking Session

CIEU (Chemical Industries Employees' Union) Tripartite HR Dialogue session was held by CIEU on 25th April 2019 at Devan Nair Institute of Employment and Employability, event hall 4. This event serves as a platform for CIEU to engage and update the HR representatives from the unionized company in the chemical industry on the latest trends and challenges within the industry. Ms Jessie Tong from Singapore Polytechnic (SP), School of Chemical and Life Sciences (CLS) was invited to give a sharing on short courses and initiatives offered under PACE (Professional and Adult Continuing Education) Academy, particularly the Certificate in Analytical Instrumentation & Laboratory Techniques and the Certificate in Chemical Process Operation and Control. She elaborated on the key features of these courses and how these courses can benefit learners to stay relevant in the industry.
A certificate presentation ceremony was held during the event to present the Certificate in Analytical Instrumentation & Laboratory Techniques to the 1st successful intake of graduands. SP Deputy Principal, Development, Mr Hee Joh Liang was invited to present the certificates.
The event ended with a networking lunch. Representatives from the PACE Academy took the opportunity to network and inform the HR representations from 23 companies who have attended the event. PACE Academy promoted the upcoming Process Operation and Laboratory Safety courses and explained on the relevancy of these courses to the companies’ operations.
PACE Academy is very grateful and would like to congratulate CIEU for organising this event which allow the various parties to come together and foster a stronger relationship for the benefit of the chemical industry.
