SP@65 Gala Dinner

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) celebrated its 65th year of achievements that made SP a Polytechnic for all ages and the strong relationship it has forged with alumni and industry partners. The Gala Dinner was held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild (SPGG) on 3 Dec 2019 and Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education, was the Guest of Honour.

SP Principal and CEO, Mr Soh Wai Wah announced our partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to establish a Centre for i4.0 Workforce Transformation which will help enterprises adopt technology and re-design key job roles using i4.0 technologies in their business process. To date, we have 23 companies in this transformation programme.

The highlight of the Gala dinner was a Memorandum of Cooperation signed between SP and 6 companies on Work-Study Programmes and other training courses covering i4.0 and advanced manufacturing. SP and JTC will work with our partners to develop, provide and conduct i4.0 technology solutions and workforce training in support of JTC-SP Industry 4.0 Transformation Initiative.
