NTUC Starter Awards Scholarship expanded to 3 more IHLs

NTUC has announced the expansion of its no-bond NTUC Starter Awards Scholarship to include three additional Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL), bringing the total number of participating institutions to eight, benefiting more local students. NTUC Secretary-General Mr Ng Chee Meng announced the expansion at NTUC’s National Day celebration at Marina Bay on 2 August. Starting 4 August, students from all eight IHLs will be able to apply for the scholarship, with the application window open until 30 September. Launched as a pilot last year, the scholarship was initially open to local students at SIT, TP, and the ITE. The maximum award amounts are $16,000 for SIT, $9,000 for TP, and $6,000 for ITE. Applicants should have an interest in leadership development and a desire to contribute to the labour movement. This year, the scholarship has been further extended to students from SP, NYP, and NP.
