SP Service-Learning aims to develop students with a genuine desire to understand, care for and make a difference to the vulnerable community. In line with the principle of service-learning, we believe that students should learn from whom they serve while performing a service. Reflection is a critical component in all our activities as this contributes to their personal growth and development. There are varied local service-learning projects throughout the year. These projects meet the needs of the local community and can be ad-hoc or long term in nature. We also organise training programme for the student leaders.

Local Service-Learning

The Local Service-Learning (LSL) programme empowers SP students to make a positive impact in the lives of the underprivileged and vulnerable members of our community. Through meaningful service experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of themselves and society, while developing compassion, empathy, and a commitment to contributing to the greater good.

Students can initiate impactful projects with Social Service Agencies or participate in existing programmes organised by SP’s Service-Learning CCA clubs, creating opportunities to address real community needs and make a difference.

As part of SP’s commitment to sustainability, our students also champion environmental causes through initiatives such as tree-planting programmes and other sustainability-focused projects.
