Financial Aid for Your Poly Education

Various forms of financial aid can be accessed by SP students.
There are schemes to help pay for tuition fees and also schemes to help you with daily living expenses.

How do I know if I am eligible for financial assistance?

To determine your eligibility for financial assistance, you can check the specific criteria for each scheme. For more detailed information and to check the requirements, you can refer to the Financial Assistance website.

 

Which bursary should I choose from?

Please refer to the eligibility criteria indicated on the Government Bursaries webpage. If you meet the criteria, you may apply during the application window.

 

What happens if I missed the bursary application deadline?

Please refer to our Government Bursaries webpage for the next application opening date and submit your application and supporting documents on time.

 

What if I have not received my result for the Financial Assistance application, but my tuition fees are due?

Please settle your tuition fees using your own funds. If you are not able to, please write to SP Financial Assistance Team for further guidance.

 

Are international students eligible for financial assistance?

Both Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) and International Students (IS) may apply during the 1st application window (in April) of each academic year. You will be notified via iChat if you are shortlisted for the Donor-Sponsored Bursary, upon meeting the donor’s criteria. You may be invited to attend an interview.

 

What is the difference between bursaries and external bursaries?

Bursaries administered by SP are typically offered directly by the institution or through local Donors. External bursaries are offered by external organisations or community groups, with separate application processes and deadlines. While both types of bursaries aim to assist you financially, the main differences lie in the administering body and application requirements.

 

How many times can I apply for bursary?

Once per academic year (each academic year starts in April till the following year’s March)
