A Work-Study Programme (WSP) Guide to Kick-Start Your Career

WSP is designed for Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Polytechnic graduates who want to combine upskilling with practical on-the-job experience. Participants get to work full-time with WSP Partner Companies, earning a competitive salary, while earning an industry-recognised Diploma, Specialist Diploma, or Advanced Diploma.

As a fresh graduate entering the workforce, WSP offers structured training and mentorship to help you achieve your goals. Participants benefit from invaluable work experience, career progression opportunities, and, for eligible Singapore Citizens, a $5,000 sign-on incentive.

Through a blend of classroom learning, hands-on training, and work-based projects, WSP equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s evolving industries.

Who Is WSP For?

      Additional Funding Support for ITE Graduates

      ITE Graduates who are Singapore Citizens aged 30 years old and below may be eligible for additional incentives under the ITE Progression Award.

      Yes, Work-Study Diplomas are widely recognised and developed in collaboration with industry leaders. Graduates gain qualifications and real-world experience that meet employer standards, making them highly competitive in the job market.
      How long is the Work-Study Programme?

      Work-Study Programmes at Singapore Polytechnic take 12 - 18 months. Programme durations are tailored to match job requirements and industry needs. These programmes combine academic modules with industry placements, providing a focused and efficient pathway to career advancement.

      Can I apply for Work-Study Programmes not related to my field of study?

      Work-Study Programmes are tailored to help participants build careers in areas related to their previous education and skills. Please refer to the entry requirements on the course page for more details. 

      Can participants withdraw from the Work-Study Programme?

      Participants are strongly encouraged to complete the programme to maximise the learning experience and receive the eligible sign-on incentive.
