SP Scholarship Highlights

Bond-free scholarship valued at $4,000 per academic year
Renewable for the normal duration of a three-year full-time diploma course, subject to renewal criteria
Open to all eligible students from AY2026
Includes participation in the SP Outstanding Talent Programme (SPOT), with opportunities for leadership development, enrichment and holistic growth

Available through three entry points: Pre-Admission, Year 1 and Year 2

Students may be considered before admission or during their SP journey, allowing talent to be recognised as it grows.

Specific academic requirements apply at each entry point.

For Year 1 and Year 2 pathways, students should generally be ranked within the top 10% of their diploma course cohort at the relevant semester
For Pre-Admission offers, applicants must meet the prescribed conditions upon enrolment, including an ELR2B2 net aggregate score of 9 points or better in the GCE O-Level examination

Terms and Conditions

The scholarship is tenable for the normal course duration of a three-year full-time diploma course.
Recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, sponsorship or allowance without prior approval from SP.
Scholarship renewal is subject to continued academic excellence, good conduct, active participation in SPOT and fulfilment of the prevailing renewal criteria.
SP Scholars and SP Engineering Scholars are expected to contribute meaningfully to the SP community and develop as dynamic leaders who can create positive impact after graduation.
If a scholar withdraws from SP or terminates the scholarship prematurely, SP reserves the right to impose repayment of scholarship monies disbursed.

Depending on the pathway, candidates may be considered through nomination, direct application, psychometric assessment and/or interviews. Selection considers academic merit, leadership potential, character, contribution and overall suitability.

Who can apply or be considered for an SP Scholarship?

Students with strong academic performance, leadership potential, good character and active contribution may be considered. Those with strong arts or sports achievements may also be considered for the SP Arts or Sports Scholarship.
Do I need to apply separately for the scholarship?

This depends on the pathway. Selected EAE applicants may be nominated by their Academic Schools. JAE O-Level applicants may apply after the GCE O-Level examinations. Year 1 and Year 2 students may be considered through school nomination or the relevant selection process.
What is SPOT?

SPOT is the SP Outstanding Talent Programme, which supports scholars’ holistic growth through leadership development, enrichment, self-discovery and contribution to the SP community.
Is the scholarship bonded?

No. The SP Scholarship and SP Engineering Scholarship are bond-free awards.
How much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship is valued at $4,000 per academic year and is renewable, subject to renewal criteria.
