Electives_Education Model
Electives Framework At SP, every student leaves a self-directed, versatile and life-long learner. Electives provide students with learning opportunities to set and achieve learning goals through self-exploration, shaping own learning paths and pursuing their passions.

Shape Your Learning Path

  • Students will get a choice to do 3 or 5 electives from a basket of electives on offer.
  • You are recommended to consult your Personal Tutor, Course Chair or  ECG counsellor in making the choice of taking 3 or 5 electives. 
  • Depending on your course, you may start your electives in Year 1, Semester 2 of your studies, or in Year 2.

 

Due to course requirements,

  • All DBS students, with the exception of students from the Cardiac Technology specialisation will do 5 electives.
  • Students in Diploma in Nautical Studies and Diploma in Marine Engineering will not have the choice to do 5 electives
