Raymond Loong Ng, a 21-year-old SP alumnus, has transformed his early entrepreneurial curiosity starting from selling snacks to schoolmates, into impactful tech ventures focused on accessibility. Shuttling between Vietnam and Singapore during his growing years, he witnessed firsthand the disparities in educational opportunities, which inspired him to create solutions that expand access and empower people. At SP, where he took the Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics from 2021 to 2024, Raymond honed his skills and participated in hackathons, which sparked the launch of his first start-up, Resumify. This social enterprise uses AI to help former offenders and people with disabilities craft effective resumes and has since partnered with Yellow Ribbon Singapore, impacting nearly 100 former convicts. Building on this momentum, he co-founded Neural Drive in 2025, developing portable headsets that allow paralysed patients to communicate using eye movements and brainwaves—a more affordable and practical alternative to existing systems. Funded largely through grants from SP, SUTD, and competition awards, Neural Drive is undergoing clinical testing with healthcare partners. Despite serving as a full-time national serviceman and not drawing a salary from his ventures, Raymond continues to lead initiatives like Singapore Youth AI, organising peer-to-peer AI education programmes. Looking ahead, he plans to study Computer Science at university while furthering his mission to create technology that meaningfully improves lives.
