At 49, Chen Lingyan left her 24-year career as a tech consultant to pursue education, driven by a desire to help children with learning disabilities. Her motivation is deeply personal: her 17-year-old son, Zheng Junfan, has dyslexia and Irlen Syndrome, and she discovered she also has a learning disability. Chen holds an education diploma from the Institute for Adult Learning and, despite not having formal teaching qualifications from the National Institute of Education, successfully joined SP as a part-time lecturer in 2022. Through her experiences, she aims to create a more inclusive learning environment, support children facing learning challenges, and provide guidance to their parents.
