Participants are required to have basic coding background in Python (such as completion of the Data Champions Bootcamp or equivalent courses, or related work experience).
Course Objective
This course aims upgrading basic end users of Large Language Models (LLMs) to become power users and proactive problem solvers. Participants will, hence, learn applying advanced prompting techniques for greater control over the LLM outputs, and build powerful LLM pipelines based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agent-based frameworks. Participants are given the opportunity to practise their new skills by creating web-based solutions serving as high-fidelity prototypes, and create practical value for their organisations.

This course is specially curated for Information and Communications Technology & Smart Systems (ICT&SS) professionals looking to integrate AI solutions into current applications or workflows.
Over the course of 12 weeks, participants will pick up industry-relevant skills and knowledge through 3 modules (4 weeks / module):
- Large Language Models (LLM)
- Build LLM Workflow
- Build AI Solutions
Course format:
Weeks 1 - 8
- Self-learning materials (3 - 4 hours / week), with hands-on tasks
- (Optional) Online Q&A sessions with the trainer to clarify doubts on the materials and capstone assignment (3 hours at the end of each week)
Weeks 9 - 12
- Group Capstone Project: Building of Proof-of-Concept Prototype (3 hours / week, online consultation on MS Teams)
- Demo day
