The Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Cyber Security Management) (WSP-NSCSM) provides an opportunity for participants to upskill and reskill themselves in Cyber Security Management which deals with how companies can identify, prioritise, manage, and monitor risks to information systems.
Work-Study Programme combines classroom learning with on-the-job training to prepare participants for the workplace. It helps participants to apply theory to practice, develop professional skills and gain specialist knowledge. It also helps participants to gain experience with real-world constraints and develop skill like creativity, adaptability and innovation.
The course equips participants with the necessary skillsets to discover vulnerabilities in network and operating systems. They will be taught the security issues found in software, especially web applications and the countermeasures to defend cyber-attacks. Participants will also learn to monitor security events, perform network forensics analysis and proactive detection of attacks, and be introduced to security incident response.
With the skillsets, the participants can take up the job roles of an Associate Security Analyst or a Forensics Investigator in the cybersecurity industry.
The Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Full Stack Web Development) Programme is a work-learn study programme designed to give fresh full-time polytechnic graduates who wish to acquire Cybersecurity skillsets to prepare themselves for a career in the Infocomm industry.
It provides them with opportunities, after graduation, to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and better supports their transition into the workforce as well as obtaining a specialist diploma at the end of the programme.
At the end of the programme, participants will acquire and deepen their skills in cyber security management as well as obtain a specialist diploma. They will also acquire practical skills through structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) under the guidance of a company mentor in the WSP company(1). On top of that, the student will receive a $5,000 sign-on incentive for fresh ICT diploma graduates(2) upon successful completion the programme.
