20-year-old sees the light in designing 3D-printed lamps

This feature highlights 20‑year‑old entrepreneur Jovi Lim, who turned his passion for design into a business selling 3D‑printed lamps under the brand Sonogo. Using savings from an internship, the SP alumnus bought his first 3D printer and taught himself 3D modelling and product design through YouTube tutorials. Starting from his bedroom, he developed sustainable designer lamps made from plant‑based materials that have resonated with customers for their clean aesthetics and accessible prices. Lim manages the entire process — from sketching and prototyping to printing and shipping — while balancing school and business, and has since grown Sonogo into a thriving venture with strong sales.
