Photography, Videography, and Recording Notice

Singapore Polytechnic (“SP”) routinely conducts photography, videography, and other recording at events, activities, and within campus premises to document student life and support SP’s mission as an educational institution.

By entering SP premises or participating in SP activities, students acknowledge that photographs, videos, and other recordings of them may be made by SP’s designated photographers or videographers or by persons participating in or documenting such activities. These images and recordings may be collected, used, and disclosed for SP’s marketing, publicity, and communications, including publications, digital media, social media platforms, and other channels that promote SP’s educational programmes and initiatives. SP may retain and use such materials over time, including after a student has graduated, and no compensation will be provided to the student (or graduate) for such use.

SP will handle personal data in accordance with applicable laws and SP’s policies. Students who prefer not to be recorded may inform the photographer or event organiser at the time of the event to request a wristband that will signal their preference not to be photographed or filmed, or they may avoid designated filming areas, or where such arrangements are not practicable, inform the photographer or event organiser so that reasonable steps can be taken to avoid recording. Students who wish to withdraw consent and request for removal of their photographs or recordings published on SP’s platforms may contact photography_enquiries@sp.edu.sg for assistance.
