Singapore’s biopharmaceutical industry has launched a S$4.8 million study award to strengthen the manufacturing talent pipeline. Led by the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Advisory Council (BMAC), the initiative supports polytechnic and ITE students in biomedical sciences-related courses who are considering careers in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Recipients will receive a one-time $$5,000 cash award, priority for final-year internships with participating BMAC companies, and access to industry activities such as fireside chats and site tours. Students from all polytechnics and ITE are expected to benefit, with about 1,000 students projected to receive support over five years. SP hosted the cheque presentation.
