5 polytechnics kick off open house from 8 to 10 Jan

From 8 to 10 January, all five of Singapore’s government polytechnics will hold their open house, offering students and parents a chance to explore campus life, programmes, and future career pathways. Visitors can attend academic talks, hands-on workshops, and interactive tours to better understand each school’s courses and facilities, helping them make informed choices. SP's School of Mathematics and Science (MS) will be officially renamed the School of Mathematical Sciences & Analytics (MSA). This renaming reflects a modernised mission to build a strong foundation in mathematical principles while harnessing data to generate actionable intelligence. NP is launching a unique “Computing and Law” diploma, blending tech and legal knowledge for emerging careers, while around 60% of its courses have been refreshed for greater industry relevance. RP will showcase over 40 booths and feature an AI Innovation Zone where students can engage with artificial intelligence through interactive challenges. TP is advancing AI-integrated teaching across its schools, using live transcription, AI-generated summaries, and interactive visualisation to enhance learning. Meanwhile, NYP is offering a Night Open Day with daytime activities like drone football and AI maze races, along with new collaborative learning and social spaces. These open days provide an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to compare programmes, experience campus culture, and understand how each polytechnic prepares students for practical, future-ready careers.
