Around 350 trainees placed with organisations under programme for Singapore fresh grads

About 350 fresh graduates in Singapore have been placed with organisations under a government-supported traineeship programme aimed at helping young jobseekers gain work experience and industry exposure. The Graduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT) programme matches recent graduates with roles across sectors including technology, sustainability, healthcare and finance, providing structured training and mentorship while helping companies tap early-career talent. The initiative has attracted participation from a wide range of employers, and graduates from polytechnics such as SP are among those benefiting from the opportunities. Many trainees noted that the placements helped them gain confidence, build practical skills, and improve their job prospects in a competitive market. Employers involved said the programme also allows them to develop and evaluate potential long-term hires by nurturing fresh talent.
